They turned out pretty cute but I don’t like how I edited them so I will hopefully eventually get around to redoing them!
A theater group from a different state was traveling around the country doing plays for free in parks. So that’s what we got to go do today! First we stopped at our local store to get snacks!
Lyla had fallen asleep in the car and stayed asleep when I moved her to the stroller!
Some of the things I brought. I always have so much stuff when we go on errands!
I bought these space saving camping chairs for our whole family. Same ones we used during the 4th of July. They’re super small when folded up and crazy light! If you have a bunch of people to bring chairs for and only one adult to carry them… I’d highly recommend them!
Cam you tell it was SUNNY!!?
Lyla, as Lyla always does, spent most of the time trying to run away. At one point a theater member came from the direction she was heading in, dressed up in a crazy outfit, and scared her! Not HER on purpose or anything, she just got scared. She spent the rest of the time with the family!
Getting ready to leave 🙂
We’d parked at a nearby school. Heading back to our car.
Chairs for all 7 of us are in that small box on the left in this next picture. ALL SEVEN CHAIRS! What?
If you want the chairs, which wasn’t the purpose of this post but seriously I love them, you can find them in this affiliate link here:
First we had to go to Walgreens to get water-proof bandages for Payson and Ember from their injuries; I mentioned it in my last post Ember had been injured, but they were sprinting through a WalMart parking lot when they were with their dad and crashed into each other and fell on the road and were crazy beat up! Their scrapes were large and deep and filled with blood and puss and just really gnarly looking. I called the doctor the day I got them back to ask if I needed to bring them in for a cleaning or if I could do it at home with the right supplies, they gave me information about at-home wound care and told me what to look out for in case of infection. I also asked about water exposure and was told to keep the area totally dry after cleaning it up. So we went to buy a few extra supplies before swimming that day since the two of them were begging to go. I didn’t want the kids to go swimming with their injuries partly because you’re not supposed to go in pools with open injuries and partly because water, especially chlorinated, irritate injuries. We got some giant water-proof bandages that were $5 a piece to try out.
At home they all got swimsuits on and we tried the water-proof bandages. They seemed to work just okay. I thought the bandages wouldn’t hold up to swimming so Payson and Ember sat out of the pool, just dangling the lower half of their legs in the water. Ember brought a book to read and Payson brought the switch to play.
Over by where we take swimming lessons there is this really cool looking park that we pass by. I decided to google it and see if it was a public park (it was in the same parking lot as some apartments) and it is! So off we went to check it out!
The kids really, really miss our trampoline. Everett especially asks about getting a trampoline all the time and tells me he misses our old one. Hopefully someday in the future I can rent a house and get another one.
The weather was nice and the view was nice ♥
I keep a couple things of sunscreen in my bag and all summer we used it. I love the stick sunscreens that are like deodorant containers and glide right on!
Lyla especially loves having sunscreen put on!
The kids were excited about this water play area.
Laughing over throwing his shoes in the fountain.
Ember fell when she was at her dad’s and had this insane injury! I felt so bad for her. We cleaned it up and bandaged her up really well but it took a while to heal.
And Lyla loves me, well at least my boobs! haha
When the older four are with their dad and it’s just me and the little two it’s so nice to go out and do things. Keeping an eye on two kids is so freaking easy! Giving attention to them and having fun with them. Being a mom of two basically! I love our weekends together!
