Summer Day Camps and Fun Times with the Other 4

I signed Brooklyn and Sierra up for a day camp this summer. They’re doing things like swimming, hiking, zip lining, laser tag, and playing games. Today while they were at their day camp I took the younger four to the park. We didn’t realize there is a splash pad at this park and the kids asked if they could play in it. Yeah, just don’t get sopping wet because we don’t have towels and have to go to Costco after we pick up the older girls in two hours.

Well… their clothes and shoes were drenched shortly.

They got so wet in fact that I bought them outfits to change into at Costco. Before…

After!

Normally I wash all my kids clothing before I let them wash it but they needed showers when we got home anyway so why not?
We actually went shopping after the kids changed into their new outfits!

I was going to take a picture of all the kids but a man saw me and offered to take one with me in it, too. I like that. Thank you, sir. 🙂

Father’s Day

I’m not going to put pictures of Allan on my blog anymore so here are the two I took on Father’s Day that don’t show him. The kids all made him cards and got him little gifts and were SO excited to give their stuff to him. I got the cutest pictures of them with their dad. I’ll have to email them to him.

Wise Mommy

Every morning Lyla screams unless I hold her while I make breakfast. I don’t mind holding her… I mean, it hurts my back, but I love her and that she wants to be with me… but there are things I can’t do while holding her like when I’m dishing the scrambled eggs onto plates or buttering toast. So, I usually set her down and she cries. Which isn’t the end of the world but it’s not the best. I set her up with her preschool show on my phone for ten minutes while I cooked this morning and she was really happy! Whew!

Biking Day!

Today we went on a really long bike ride. And that’s all I took pictures of!

This is my Ember and I love her.

Everett really loves bike rides!

And so do I! It’s my favorite thing ever.

I was just happy that day because I’d just done a repair on my breaks and was happy to get out again after a week of not riding!

Payson wore his new Link outfit.

Happy kids.

We saw this van with lots of ladders on our ride and were amused. Seriously, look at all those ladders!

Payson’s 10th Birthday!!

So Payson’s favorite thing in the whole world is Zelda Breath of the Wild. We made a Breath of the Wild themed birthday for him. Allan set up a quest that took Payson all over the house and yard and even to the park! He had to fight monsters (the rest of the family) and earn items (food and weapons) along the way. He kept saying it was the best day of his life! It was perfect!

Lyla loved Payson’s birthday! She had a good time.

Ember loved it, too.

Everett also loved it!

Me and my birthday boy. I love Payson so much! I can NOT believe he’s 10!!!

Back at home I watched Lyla while she jumped on the trampoline while Payson fought more “monsters” to finish his quest.

Payson’s final treasure was the master sword!!

Sierra filmed the last battle.

Lyla begged for milk.

I snapped some fun pictures of Brooklyn.

All the kids played battle for quite a while after Payson had found his new master sword. They love Zelda games!

Some fun pictures of Ember.

Everett showed me his best fighting moves.

And then it was time for cake! Gluten free, of course.

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to Paaaaayson,
Happy Birthday to you!

The mess after 🙂

After dinner and cake I was goofing off pretending the party hat was a beak and the kids copied me and had a hysterical time 🙂
