Halloween 2017

Okay, are you ready for Halloween 2017 pictures!?
First up we have Brooklyn as Guy Diamond from the Trolls movie!

Next up, Sierra as a wizard from Hogwarts. She wanted to be Hermoine specifically but Ember had already called Hermoine!

Now we have no other than Payson as Harry Potter! He was so excited to be Harry Potter he even grew his hair out for a few months to look more like him!

Next up we have Ember as Hermoine!! The fiercest Hermoine you’ll ever see!!

And now that brings us to little Everett who was thrilled beyond belief to be his favorite character from his favorite show- Chase from Paw Patrol!!! Can you just FEEL his excitement through these photos?!

And lastly the baby of the family, Lyla as a monarch butterfly! She was so not into standing still for a picture and much more interested in running into the road!

And a couple pictures of the whole group of kids!

Before we headed out I asked Allan to take a picture of me and Lyla since we matched 🙂

And now the time we’ve all been waiting for, trick or treating!!!

We were SO lucky that Lyla fell asleep and slept through almost all of the night. She is not the most happy baby and cries through most things. It was awesome that she slept and we got to just enjoy the night with the big kids while she slept peacefully bundled up in the stroller!
Once she did wake up, Allan hurried to her and wrapped her up in his jacket to keep her toasty warm while we finished up.

Back at home the devouring started!

We had grabbed a couple pizzas from Little Caeser before heading home. Easy dinner.

This Americana honey cream soda is my and Allan’s favorite.

A Very Busy and Fun Day!!

First thing we did is drop Brooklyn off at her library group. She looked so pretty in her new outfit that I asked her if I could take her picture. She was really excited about it because she’s thrilled with her sparkly top that was brand new.

As I took that we all noticed a squirrel standing behind her seemingly looking right at the camera, too!! We laughed our butts off at the squirrel “posing” for a picture with Brooklyn! It took off right after I’d snapped a few photos!

A quick group shot, too.

Brooklyn and Sierra are getting so grown up!! I photographed them walking together.

Once we’d taken Brooklyn in we decided to play outside for a while. The kids found an amazing tree they wanted to climb and Sierra shot a few pictures of me and the little ones before we went over there.

The kids wanted to stay there the whole time Brooklyn was in her group!

Everett couldn’t climb the tree but he was just as happy finding all the leaves on the ground and showing them to me.

Eventually I told the kids we needed to go to the post office while Brooklyn was still in her group so off we went. We were picking up a letter that was delivered without enough postage from the sender.

The letter was from my mom! I love that she sends the kids cute little letters and packages for ALL holidays. This was a Halloween card with a Halloween banner inside for us to hang on our mantel!

After opening that the kids wanted to climb the tree again and this time Lyla was awake so she ran around the whole time. And this time Everett was tired (tah-wode) so he rested in the stroller.

Brooklyn had made Halloween themed gingerbread houses in her activity. Hers looked awesome!

My Back Goes Out! Ouch!

I got a herniated disc. It is excruciatingly painful. After hurting for 4 days with it getting worse each day I decided to try out a chiropractor. I went to one before we went to Costco and it didn’t hurt but didn’t seem to help. Darn.
We went to Costco and had fun together.

Allan took the kids into a nearby Walgreen’s while I breastfed Lyla in the car. The kids were spending their allowance on Trolls toys.

I am so crooked 🙁

I laid down on the floor because I couldn’t bear to be up on my feet any longer in that pain and Lyla came over to play with my camera and then climb on me.

After resting at home for a while we made one more trip out, to Fred Meyer for the other things we needed.

I am so glad I took this picture of Ember’s stuff in the cart. She brings a variety of objects with her every time we run errands and she always has different ways of holding them. This week it was an empty playdoh container 🙂

Some of the things she bought with her allowance.

We got a new dishwasher!

Goodbye old one that has been giving us issues since we moved in!

While Allan was home with the plumbers installing the dishwasher I took the kids to McDonald’s. When we got home they played outside for a while.

My kids destroy their shoes and pants. I wonder why 😉

I got Allan a cheeseburger while we were out and he ate that on the porch swings while hanging out with the little three.

Allan and I just LOVE this next picture of Lyla.

Here’s the new dishwasher!

So happy to have this!

It took exactly no time before Lyla found the new dishwasher, too!

Allan headed off to work while I took the kids to their library group.

The kids got to make a variety of masks. It was SO FUN!

At home Everett tried one of his masks on his elephant, Blue Blue.

And Sierra and Ember showed me theirs for photos.

Poor Ember!!

Allan, Payson, and Ember pulled up most of the carrots today!

Ember fell the other day and got this huge cut on her knee! We’ve talked about it a lot together! It’s HUGE! I told her all about blood and scabs and skins and how that entire system works to heal injuries. She was riveted! She talked about it for at least a full week and to this day she shows off the scar on her knee!

Now this is not cool, Lyla! This is the tallest chair in our house and she can even climb up on it!

Daily nap on mama.
