Brooke’s Last Day of School Picnic!

For the last day of school families could come have a picnic with the students. I took the kids and some food and we sat out burning to death in the heat. haha. But it was fun! I got to meet Brooke’s best friend and her family and the kids got popsicles at the end so it was practically the best day of their lives 😉

After the picnic we got to go say goodbye to Brooke’s teacher and visit the book fair.

It was the last day of the book fair and the sale was buy one get one free so we got a bunch of books 🙂
As if the day wasn’t fun enough we got ice cream cones before going home! Geez! Now that’s how you do a last day of school!

A Walk During the Day

The kids love this giant bush because it’s filled with hundreds of ladybugs. photo 289eresized_zpsmprlc2or.jpg photo 293eresized_zpswapk8gya.jpg photo 293eresized_zpswapk8gya.jpg photo 323eresized_zpsdvuuxbfh.jpg photo 325eresized_zpsmtmwmoxo.jpg

We get home from our lovely walk and I look at the clock and am shocked to see that it’s 3:20! We usually leave at 3:05 to pick up Brooke from school! It was a super busy day and we had taken a long walk but I thought it was maybe 2 by then! Yikes! We hurried to her school (which is only 5 minutes away) and were there with time to spare, luckily 🙂 photo 331eresized_zpsxdrdarob.jpg photo 340eresized_zpscr7dsqso.jpg

Neighbor Bella Comes to Visit

Our neighbors have a dog. Her name is Bella. She comes over to our house and into our yard a lot. In fact, the first day we moved in she came over and ran into our house! It was an interesting way to meet our new neighbors. ha photo 351eresized_zpsoigkgvzw.jpg photo 362eresized_zps87c6s5rj.jpg

Everett loves animals. He was super excited when she came running in the yard. And then she came close to him while he was sitting at his kid table playing with a car and he laughed and squealed and pointed and made his puppy sound. And then she came closer to smell him and when she was right up near him he freaked! He started crying in terror and wouldn’t let me put him down while she was in the yard! photo 365eresized_zpslefpzwbw.jpg photo 385eresized_zpsqxmej3bk.jpg photo 386eresized_zpsrp91a1ur.jpg photo 390eresized_zps1wrbxgio.jpg photo 394eresized_zpsmuaeumw3.jpg

What Happened to Allan’s Car’s Window?!

We don’t know! photo 074eresized_zpsrm6yl9o4.jpg

Our best guess is that the construction workers building the house next door shot some pebbles into the window while they had a huge machine out there the night before. There were pebbles from that worksight on the ground by the car and one inside the window. photo 074eresized_zpsrm6yl9o4.jpg photo 077eresized_zpsuihsblgk.jpg photo 080e2resized_zpsjm0hloi8.jpg photo 081eresized_zps3xlnnvdl.jpg

It was windy outside that day. The windiest day we’ve had in a long time. photo 087eresized_zpsqwk4x6wu.jpg photo 094eresized_zpsqpr96anh.jpg photo 094eresized_zpsqpr96anh.jpg photo 135eresized_zpsvnpwgukd.jpg photo 147eresized_zpsjr08lpwz.jpg

The Messiest Toddler You’ll Ever Know

I’ve had five toddlers. Most of them have been messy. So I know messes.
Everett is the messiest. By far. It drives me NUTS!!
It’s worse with him because there are FOUR other kids to leave things out and leave doors open and provide ALL kinds of fun places and things to mess up and destroy. photo 004eresized_zps0t89oyki.jpg

He gets at least one bath a day. This day I happened to need a shower when he got really dirty so we took one together. Ember joined us, too. She usually does. photo 059eresized_zpsffsgmu5z.jpg
