We read a lot this week. I read the kids book after book after book. And then Brooklyn read the kids book after book after book.
We read enough to get the first prize on the summer reading program list. We read enough to get two prizes, really, but I like to space out the prizes even if we’ve made the goals!
Allan worked from home yesterday because he had a few errands to run. He decided to take Brooklyn with him. It was a really peaceful outing with only the younger three. They got along so well. They were playing nicely together; there wasn’t one single argument or disagreement or negative remark during the entire outing! And that’s all I’ll say about that.
The kids each got a cheeseburger and shared a large fries before we went in the library.
They had fun looking at the creatures in the aquarium. I told Sierra she had ketchup all over her mouth.
The kids each picked out a little stuffed animal from a box and then I photographed them each with their new prizes.
Ember was thrilled with the Elmo movie we checked out. Sierra was happy that she brought her dinosaur toy with her.
Ember couldn’t resist joining Sierra’s picture.
I told Payson it was his turn and he gave me this smile:
I can’t even remember a time where Payson didn’t give me some super goofy smile for pictures.
They’re cute and fun but sometimes I really wish I could get some natural pictures of his smile. Because his real smile looks nothing like his “pose for pictures” smile.
I told him those were super cute, could we take some with his eyes wide open?
And then I laughed hysterically when he gave me this one:
Oh my gosh it looks so goofy!! lol! Every time I see it I crack up!
After the library we stopped at Target so I could look for some maternity clothes. I could vent for quite a while about clothes right now. Nothing fits right. Everything is either too small, too big, or fits just right but feels terrible or looks terrible! I love the 4th month of pregnancy because it feels the best physically, but I’ve always thought it was the worst (for me) for trying to get dressed!! I get so moody every morning trying to figure out what to put on!! UGH.
We made a brief stop in the toy section to see if maybe there was something Super Mario World related but we didn’t find anything. Sierra and Payson did find some masks to terrify their younger sister with!
I told them to stop scaring Ember and put the masks back and then we left after that.
