Dentist Appointment followed by Swimming!

Brooklyn and Sierra had their 6 month dental checkups today. I decided we would go swimming after their appointment since the pool is on the way home. We needed to stop at Target for some swimsuits for Sierra and Payson and some swim diapers for Ember.
*Story about why Ember’s crying at the end of the post. photo 004eresized_zps2d26aef5.jpg

The little kids had a lot of fun while the older kids got their teeth cleaned. photo 006eresized_zpsbbf7d55d.jpg

Brooklyn and Sierra had five or ten minutes of playtime before the dental assistant called them back.

Showing off their clean teeth! (Though they actually looked dirtier than before their appointments because of the fluoride treatment! ha) photo 023eresized_zps74a108ec.jpg

I didn’t take any pictures of us swimming (duh, that’d be impossible while trying to keep track of four kids and being in the water. haha) but I did snap this picture of some moody, moody kiddos afterwards! (Older kids moody because we had to leave after two hours. Ember moody because she was exhausted.) I was impressed that though Sierra was bummed about leaving she cracked a big ol’ smile. photo 028eresized_zpsb66981d5.jpg

This girl was seriously tired. photo 032eresized_zps478f3d5f.jpg

I’ll end this with a picture of Ember playing in Brooklyn’s room. It happened to be on the memory card so, here it is! lol photo 002eresized_zps94cad1d5.jpg
*See this post for the story!

The Story of Ember and the Tiles on the Floor

So Ember cried a few times in Target one day and begged me to hold her. I think I know why. It all started the Wednesday before, really.

At the aquarium there was this part where the ground was glass and we all had to walk over some water and fish swimming around underneath. This terrified Ember and she refused to walk on it.
At Target we all walked in. Ember refuses to be in the cart or have me hold her so she was walking besides us. We got to the white, tiled part of the floor just inside the door and she stopped suddenly and started screaming. She was crying really hard right away and saying NO and saying MOMMY!!! and reaching for me! I was confused because she never ever ever ever asks to be held! lol
I went to pick her up and held her while we walked. Once in a while she’d wiggle to get down and walk. She’d take a few steps and start screaming again and reaching for me. Stopped in terror. lol, poor thing.

Halfway through the store I realized she was noticing the reflection of the overhead lights on the ground and was thinking they were under the ground! It reminded her of the aquarium! (I knew it had to be that because she’s walked through Target dozens of times without a problem!)
I told her the lights were on the ceiling and pointed them out.

A minute later I was walking towards the checkout with her in my arms. She was looking up at the ceiling intently and suddenly says, “OH! The wights up dere!” And then she’d look back and forth from the white lights overhead to the reflections on the ground. I thought that’d “cure” her fear but, no. She still freaked out when it was time to walk out of the checkout aisle. (She was fine standing in line, though, and insisted on it.)

I hope this new fear of hers doesn’t last. Then again, it was super nice shopping while carrying her (she held on to me super tight) and not having to keep a constant eye out for her!

Arizona Sea Life Aquarium

My sister-in-law, Laura, invited me and my kids to the aquarium with her, her three kids, and Allan’s parents yesterday. Brooklyn went to the aquarium last year on a field trip but the younger three haven’t been and were pretty excited! I asked Ember if she wanted to go see some fishies and she hopped around saying, “Yes, fishies!”

I decided to put all the stuff I carry in my purse in a backpack so I didn’t have to juggle a giant bag over my shoulder. This isn’t important to the story, just typing it out for my own benefit. haha!

We got to the aquarium and waited at some quarter operated rides for grandma, grandpa, aunt Laura, and the cousins. My kids were just as excited about sitting on the (unmoving because I had no quarters) rides as they were about the aquarium! haha

When the family got there the kids started shouting happily and waving to them. I got just a bit nervous, hoping the crowds inside wouldn’t be too awful since I now have four kids to keep track of. Luckily, my kids are actually really good when we go out! They occasionally wander but mostly they stay near me, which is a huge relief! For 10 years I’ve had every single outing include juggling a baby or chasing a toddler, or both! lol photo 002eresized_zps6f4e578b.jpg

The kids loved it right off the bat! I spent the first 10 minutes regretting my decision to come! lol. The smell of fish was overwhelming to my pregnant sense of smell! Wretched. But honestly, how excited the kids were distracted me 🙂 photo 003eresized_zps00662743.jpg

And I got to practice letting my germophobe tendencies take a backseat when we were in the area where touching the animals was allowed. The kids loved this. photo 005eresized_zps471bf231.jpg photo 006eresized_zps996e435b.jpg

Lots of fun tubes and tunnels to explore! Brooklyn pretended to swim in there 🙂 photo 010eresized_zpse8e0ce4b.jpg

This is my nephew, he’s Ember’s age. photo 017eresized_zpsbd42e146.jpg

My kids were pretty great about letting me take a few group shots! photo 022eresized_zps16b5cffa.jpg

I have a whopping four pictures of sea animals to post. I feel pretty proud of that accomplishment since I find it boring to photograph them. lol (Today my kids saw the pictures and love the sea animal ones, so now maybe I wish I’d snapped just a couple more? lol)
 photo 028eresized_zps6138e68a.jpg

This octopus was my favorite. He/she started moving his/her legs all around and shifted positions while we were there and my kids were enthralled. Ember was pretty much terrified, but intrigued enough to stand there and watch. photo 030eresized_zps922366b5.jpg photo 073eresized_zpscf231363.jpg

I also really loved the jellyfish room! We have some cute video footage from Brooklyn dancing in there! photo 034eresized_zps50efa0e2.jpg

My youngest nephew. He was so happy the whole time! I just love him! photo 051eresized_zpsd0dff859.jpg

And Payson loved his cousin. Couldn’t keep away from him for more than a few seconds at a time 🙂 He’s going to be such a happy boy in November when he has his very own baby at home every day! photo 053resized_zpse483f6ef.jpg

Payson and Brooklyn got stuffed turtles from the gift shop for their upcoming birthdays. Sierra and Ember wanted things but their birthdays are so far away and I know that by the time they get here they’ll not care a smidgeon for a stuffed turtle! haha! Sierra cried about it but already today, the very next day, she’s over the stuffed sea animals! lol

After the aquarium grandma and grandpa bought pizzas and we ate at their house. It was a really awesome day! Our first really fun day of summer!

Shopping for the Birthday Boy

Payson’s birthday is in a couple weeks. He decided he wanted a Super Mario World themed birthday this year. I wasn’t surprised since he’s majorly obsessed with the video game right now. He’d play all day long if I let him. And honestly, the third month of my pregnancy I pretty much let him!! Even now, he plays for a good two, three, four hours a day. It’s ridiculous. But it’s also a billion degrees outside and we live a billion miles from anywhere and there’s nothing to do. I do crafts and games with the kids but, we’re beyond bored. Beyond.

So I hit up Party City and we went to McDonald’s for some cheap food.
Then we went to the dollar store to get a bunch of stuff to try to do something similar to ideas I found and pinned here.

Then we hit up good old WalMart for the stuff the dollar store didn’t have. And to search for anything Mario related. We found one thing, I giant Mario pillow that Payson fell in love with. I did get some cheapy party games for the kids in the party section. And that’s all we did today! All while melting into giant puddles of sweat because, did I mention, it’s hot?!

Before I share the pictures I should say that the kids were all relatively good. Ember insists on walking everywhere now and it’s a huge pain in the butt, and Brooklyn talked nonstop about herself and her birthday (which she does every single birthday ever) and what she wanted and got upset when I wouldn’t buy her birthday stuff or buy her a toy. *sigh*

But yeah, besides that, things were great. And… I finished 100% of the birthday shopping so I feel pretty darn freaking fantastic about that!!

I got cheeseburgers and fries to share at McDonald’s to keep things cheaper. I got a side salad for Ember because that girl’s favorite food is salad! Can you believe that? She’s super picky but when it comes to salad, she’d eat it three meals a day! photo 003eresized_zps5a743fb2.jpg

Outside before heading to Party City. photo 014eresized_zps60c007b0.jpg

The kids had fun trying on glasses while waiting in line to pay. (I bought one thing there, a 5th birthday badge for Payson for 55 cents. lol) photo 021eresized_zps875a6af8.jpg

Payson carried his Mario all over the store and was super happy to put him up on the conveyor belt and get him paid for! photo 022eresized_zps6c9f9208.jpg

Ember fell asleep on the drive home and woke up cranky as can be (like she always does) and wouldn’t stop crying until I let her nurse. So here’s me 4 months pregnant breastfeeding my 32 month old. (Breastfeeding is a major annoyance while pregnant, btw!!)
 photo 029eresized_zps5210480b.jpg

After some milk she was showing me her owies from when she fell in the WalMart parking lot.
 photo 047eresized_zps2f4483df.jpg

While I was typing this up Ember was pushing the buttons on my printer. I told her to stop or I’d kiss her face (I always say that to her) and she didn’t stop. I forgot I was wearing lipstick until I noticed a big fat kiss mark on her cheek. photo 084eeresized_zps07fae3b5.jpg

Hello Baby Boy?

Today at our ultrasound we were told that our baby is most likely a boy. There was the umbilical cord and then there was another protrusion lower down in the private area. We get another ultrasound in 5 weeks and will check again and hope for a better view. We’re going to go ahead and refer to the baby as “him” since it feels better than what we have been doing which is either he/she (which is kind of a mouthful) or “it” which is totally inhuman. ha

So for the first minute of the ultrasound he had the hiccups and then through the rest of the ultrasound he seemed really sleepy. The ultrasound technician kept shaking my belly, had me get up and pee, and had me cough a couple times, to try to get him to move around*. But nope, he’d move his arm a bit, he rolled over once, and then was off in dreamland again.
I told Allan on the drive home, it’d be nice to have a baby who liked to sleep! haha

Here’s our little boy’s profile 🙂 photo BabyBoyblurred_zps0da9a65b.jpg
*She was only trying to get some action out of baby because they make a DVD of the ultrasound and probably figured we’d like to see our baby kicking or moving around instead of napping. We don’t mind either way. He was as healthy as can be told at this age and that’s enough for us! 🙂

Doctor Visit

I had a checkup Tuesday. There was no one available to watch the little kids for me so I had to bring them. I brought them last time and it was miserable, no matter what toys, coloring books, games, books, or treats I bring- they’re SO loud and needy. I decided to be a bit crazy and take Brooklyn out of school to help. I told her that if she managed to keep them preoccupied during the appointment I’d take her out for lunch.
She would’ve watched them anyway, happily, but having a happy meal after was icing on the cake.

I bought a couple things at the dollar store for the kids in hopes that the image of mommy on the exam table wouldn’t cause the usual reaction, which is- NEED TO BE HELD BY MOMMY ON THE EXAM TABLE!! lol

The appointment went well! The kids were noisy, but happy noisy, and I was majorly distracted by them but they didn’t distract the doctor and didn’t make loud noises. Everyone commented on how good they were.

I have an appointment for an ultrasound this afternoon. Allan is THANKFULLY staying home from work to watch the little two for that! I’m SO freaking glad. I can’t concentrate at all if my kids are in the room with me. I really want to watch the baby on the screen in peace and quiet! lol photo 007eresized_zps272e83bc.jpg photo 010RESIZED_zpsae8d53d3.jpg

I gave Ember a bath when we got home. photo 023eresized_zpsc0af45ac.jpg

This morning (it’s Thursday now), Ember threw up. She hasn’t since so I’m wondering if it was the milk she had. It expires today but smells fine. Allan says his stomach feels weird and he’s the only other person that had some, so hopefully it was just “off” milk and since she threw it right up the rest of the day will be fine.

She’s been crying ever since she threw up. She begs for breastmilk and freaks out when I say no. I try to explain why, but she’s two. She couldn’t care less if she throws up right after. She wants mommy milk and she wants it now. photo 050eresized_zpsafce1753.jpg
So, three more hours of crying to listen to and then I’m off to a peaceful ultrasound. lol

Catch Up 2

More pictures from the last month.

One of the first days I felt better during my early pregnancy. I was about 12 weeks along, I think. I noticed the flowery tree against the sky and is was so pretty. And then I realized, I just thought something was pretty! Instead of being stuck inside my head, fixated on how awful I felt, I was seeing something outside!! It might sound crazy but it was an awesome moment. photo 007eresized_zps9c2dd2e9.jpg

Brooklyn and Sierra had their end of school performance. The arrow is pointing at Sierra. photo 009eresized_zps28bb2384.jpg

Payson whined a lot about being there. Ember was excited to be there. photo 020eresized_zps5c976c8a.jpg

Being Mr. Social, he cheered up once I told him he could go play with the other kids as long as he stayed around that big bush nearby. photo 023eresized_zps95159041.jpg photo 025eresized_zps7331b077.jpg photo 026eresized_zpsca55bf47.jpg

Brooklyn was definitely the goofiest one of the bunch. photo 035eresized_zps07b5ec7b.jpg

Being able to walk around wherever he wanted, Payson was happy the rest of the time.

Ember spilled her water. On the left, in her hair, are flowers from the nearby trees. It was really windy that day and she and I got covered in flowers. photo 085eresized_zpsb6df915a.jpg

The sunset was really pretty that evening. A very soft yellow with parts of the sky that were still a deep blue. In person it was so much prettier. Alas, a perfect photographer I am not. photo 089eresized_zps9b1ac69e.jpg

The kids were sitting in this spot for a few minutes, the sun was setting directly behind them. Everything was glowing. Ahh, so pretty! (I told them to do a silly face. Brooklyn spit everywhere.) photo 100eresized_zps1e2d9dff.jpg photo 103eresized_zps819fa3d0.jpg

I don’t remember what we were talking about, but I guess I was pretty serious about it. photo 152eresized_zps6ea414dd.jpg photo 156eresized_zps614fcd83.jpg

Allan, the older girls, and I were taking turns standing over in the (then super messy) corner of the room to make her laugh or smile. She was cracking up at our silly antics. photo 161ereszied_zps0d56eaa4.jpg

It’s important to me that the kids have fun while taking pictures. If it was a huge challenge to photograph them I don’t like the pictures even if they’re cute, because I’d only remember the not-so-much-fun process of taking that picture. This experience was a blast and therefore, some of my favorite pictures of Ember 🙂
Oh and when we were snapping pictures she’d hop up and run to the corner while Sierra or Brooklyn (and even me and Allan a few times) would sit on the little bench and she’d make us giggle. It was a blast. I have some cute videos of it all, maybe some day I’ll get around to going through my video clips from the last few months! photo 168eresized_zpsfd6ad0ed.jpg

One Saturday I took Brooklyn with me on some errands. Ember joined us, too, of course. That girl doesn’t like to be away from mommy. photo 032resized_zps20cb9e1d.jpg

The weather that day was awesome. When I got home Allan was working outside in the yard. I left the car on the driveway with all the doors open and let Ember sleep for another twenty minutes or so while I leaned against the outside of the car and watched and talked to Allan. I think the three older kids were riding their bikes at that point. photo 044resized_zpsd1c3c7d3.jpg

Suffering from some major cabin fever, I took the little kids to Peter Piper Pizza for lunch one day. I bought Payson a lunch buffet plate and he had three or four pieces of pizza, toppings only! I felt so wasteful throwing away all that crust, but, what else do you do with a gluten-allergic boy? He also had a big salad, which I had to make him eat by promising he would get ZERO tokens until he did. Ember ate two whole pieces of pizza and about three servings of salad! That girl LOVES pizza and salad! photo 055resized_zps1c3d8bcb.jpg

The day we set it up (that same day we bought it) got up to 101, good day for some backyard splashing! I hung up a tarp to provide shade over the baby pool. photo 031eresized_zpsfbb0f41d.jpg

Ember was not a fan. She didn’t like the splashing, she didn’t like her swimsuit getting wet, she just didn’t like it at all. lol photo 049eresized_zpsc583988b.jpg

Payson got a cheeseburger with no onions and no bun. It’s always a “thing” when I say, “No bun.” The person taking my order always hesitates, thinking. They’ll fumble to figure out what to push into the register, “Just the… patty and… other stuff? Without the bun? Okay.” And half the time they call someone over to ask what to push. Ordering for allergies makes me feel like a picky person! haha (That’s why I like In N Out, they have a protein version, without bun, that’s a normal order!) photo 057eresized_zps91ee6cbd.jpg

I love that you hardly need anything.
Blue paper.
Fruit Loops
Mini Marshmallows
Glue

I had the kids sort out their fruit loops into colors before gluing and whatever cereal pieces were leftover (and later marshmallows) they got to eat. They loved it. They also got some more from the box after they were all done. photo 014eresized_zpscc6f8562.jpg

We got some card games from the Target $1 spot and have been playing a LOT. Our new favorite is crazy 8s. We play one on one or with half of us or, my favorite, as a whole family! Even Ember plays and she does really well!! So fun! (This was the first night we played, only Sierra and I did and Ember was pissed at me because I wouldn’t let her breastfeed while we played!) photo 019resized_zpsaeac746a.jpg

Spaghetti dinners are so great. So easy to make. I put Payson’s meat and sauce over rice and he gobbles it up. He really loves the stuff, luckily! photo 024eresized_zps9b66b64b.jpg

Ember was pretending to be a puppy and bringing all kinds of stuff to Allan while he finished up some work. photo 028eresized_zpsca133414.jpg

Ember is such a mini adult. She loves to copy everything Allan and I do. He was flossing so she ran for a flosser. Then when he came over to kneel by her to floss together she kneeled down the exact same way. She even made sure she mirrored him perfectly with which knee was bent up. So cute! photo 077eresized_zpsac4b8f6a.jpg
That’s the end of catch up post #2! I have more pictures from this week which hopefully I get to this weekend. I can’t wait to be caught up and able to blog about the present day happenings!

Catch Up Post

Pictures from the last month. Part 1.

Allan went fishing a month or two ago. (Yes, these pictures are all like a month old… but at least I am blogging so who cares if they’re “old?”) photo 002resized_zps8803ba14.jpg

Because it’s ten thousand degrees in Arizona, or at least feels it to this overheated pregnant gal, we had to go out and buy the family sandals. We got the sandals for buy one get one half off at KMart. The kids were really excited about it. (To be funny, Allan got in the picture and angled his feet. lol) photo 039eresized_zpsbcffd8b6.jpg

We went to Costco. Costco is a favorite. Too bad it’s so far away. photo 031eresized_zps697b574f.jpg

Allan dropped me and the three youngest off to shop and took Brooklyn to Home Depot (I’m guessing, my memory of that day is all but gone) and we finished shopping and waited outside Costco for them to get back. They parked and met up with us so Brooklyn and Allan could get some food. Because we went ahead and ate without them! lol photo 017eresized_zps0a8e4516.jpg

Quick funny story, my kids were covered in pizza and ketchup so I gave them some Burt’s Bees baby wipes I keep in my purse for Ember, they were playing with them a LOT, especially holding them up to make Santa beards and telling each other “ho, ho, ho” over and over.
Some lady walking by stops and looks panicked, and starts walking over to one of my little kids saying, “Oh no, honey!! Don’t put that on your face, it’s poison!!”
I had to bite my lip from giggling because I instantly knew she thought they were playing with those cart sanitizing wipes at the front of the store. I grabbed the package of wipes off the top of my purse and showed her. She laughed and then asked me where I got Burt’s Bees wipes from. I guess she’s really into natural stuff and has a grandson (or granddaughter, I can’t remember) she watches and wanted some. lol. It was just funny at the moment. photo 009eresized_zps9674cc56.jpg

These shoes pictures were actually taken at Sprouts, not Costco. We stopped at Sprouts for some groceries and I snapped photos. All three girls were posing up a storm. photo 049eresized_zpse0cfba91.jpg

Then I snapped a couple from the hip. photo 040eresized_zps2fc95d29.jpg photo 042eresized_zps945ed374.jpg

Ember’s been obsessed with my cameras since she was a little baby. She loves to take pictures. She tries to grab my dSLR all the time and pushes her bottom lip out really far in a pout when I take it from her. Even though it makes me nervous, I let her take pictures with our point and shoot.
I don’t treat our point and shoot carefully enough. Because it’s not my ginormous dSLR, I don’t think of it as being fragile or expensive but I think it was like $250 and that’s a crap ton of money!!! photo 009eresized_zps3f18d4e2.jpg

I was cracking up watching her. She’d put her eye up to the lens in the front of the camera, then take a picture, then turn the camera over to the back and try to move the pictures on the LCD screen like you would on an iPod, since she’s used to the iPod. I was actually laughing the whole time I was sitting with her. She just makes the littlest things so fun! photo 011eresized_zpsae6ea514.jpg photo 020eresized_zpsb076ab19.jpg

A shot of her putting the lens up to her eye. I have hundreds of pictures of a giant red blur with a small black striped spot in the corner. The red blur is, naturally, her cheek/face super close up (since her face was right against the lens!) and the black spot is/are her eye/eyelashes. lol! I haven’t even deleted them yet because I smile every time I come across them in my pictures folders! photo 023eresized_zpsc03a6563.jpg

Once in a while she managed to take a picture of something other than her face pressed against the camera. Here is a tiny sampling of photography by Ember! photo 012eresized_zps2c59a54f.jpg

Ember was pretending to talk on Brooklyn’s [toy] cellphone. photo 038eresized_zps1bc05664.jpg

I can’t remember why I took these pictures, these were taken during that week we were all so sick. photo 073eresized_zps5154b518.jpg photo 084eresized_zps2da76c5a.jpg

“My baby wan mommy milty!” (she always pronounces milk “milt” and milky “milty.”) photo 098eresized_zpsa9032db4.jpg photo 109eresized_zps8fbc406d.jpg photo 116eresized_zpsc9769f81.jpg

A Barro’s lunch date with my little two a couple weeks later. photo 001eresized_zps6d73ccfd.jpg photo 004eresized_zps46bd1190.jpg

Ember was walking back and forth on the diamond shaped floor tiles. She’d count, “1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9!” each time she went back and forth. photo 014eresized_zps2b8b88c6.jpg
I don’t know if they were actually diamond shaped, I think they were probably perfect squares angled differently than the other, larger square tiles, and Ember just called them diamonds.
Wait, squares are diamonds, right? But a diamond isn’t a square? Something like that.
Part 2 coming later today or tomorrow. Not because it’ll be so amazingly exciting but because my backed up photos-to-be-blogged are driving me nuts and I need to catch up now. I don’t have a good enough memory to blog more than a month in the past. ha

Playroom and the Girls got Haircuts

First thing this morning I found Payson and Ember playing together in our front room. Which holds most of their toys right now; we call it the playroom. photo 004eresized_zpse580ea5b.jpg

Brooklyn and Sierra like it in there, too. They all play with their petshop animals in the dollhouse mostly. photo 009eresized_zps3d9216f0.jpg

Ember was building some pretty awesome towers this morning. She built one in particular that was really high. She had to stand on a chair to put the top pieces on. I was surprised at how well she did all by herself.
Brooklyn noticed her playing and decided she needed to come over and take over. photo 022eresized_zpse394456d.jpg

Luckily Ember is easygoing about that and was happy to share. photo 035eresized_zps2ac98c10.jpg

Sierra and I had been writing funny or sweet letters back and forth to each other on the chalkboard. photo 046eresized_zps68461946.jpg

Brooklyn was laughing in the next picture over Sierra getting upset because Brooklyn had scribbled on her letter to me. Sierra wiped it off while Brooklyn uncontrollably giggled over it. (She laughs a lot when she does something irritating. Especially if I tell her not to do it.) photo 061eresized_zps7cfdbb88.jpg

Payson was left alone with the blocks and built some of his own towers. photo 068eresized_zps86186212.jpg

By the way, the girls were home because this morning my car battery was dead. Allan’s going to jump the car tonight when he gets home. I would’ve had a friend take them to school but the nearest one I know well would’ve had to drive an extra hour worth this morning to do it. Instead I let the girls stay home.

So halfway through the day I told the girls that while they were home we should get their haircuts done. When they first started talking about haircuts for the summer I knew I’d take them to a salon because Sierra was dead set on getting an a-line bob haircut. I wasn’t going to attempt something like that!! lol
But in the end, saving $50 (on the two of them) and the gas money (another $10) and all the time of driving clear out there (40 minutes each way) won me over and I cut their hair myself. photo 076eresized_zps130d0369.jpg

I don’t have any hair cutting experience or training. lol. I just wing it when I’m forced to cut my kids’ hair. Sierra’s a-line turned out pretty cute, thank goodness! photo 082eresized_zpsbd972b76.jpg

I mean, to my untrained eye it looks cute anyway. lol photo 084eresized_zps7af29ceb.jpg photo 087eresized_zps295146ad.jpg

And OH BOY was Sierra thrilled with it! She loved it from the first chop to the last snip and posed and fawned over herself in the mirror like a girl in love. A girl in love with her hair. It was so freaking adorable and the fact that I was the one who cut it made me feel pretty darn pleased with myself. lol
Sweet Sierra must’ve said, “Thank you, mom! You’re the best haircutter in the world!” a thousand times today 🙂 photo 088eresized_zpscb18bc22.jpg photo 090eresized_zps3b9e5f82.jpg photo 100eresized_zpse5524c5d.jpg

Now it was Brooklyn’s turn! photo 113eresized_zpsa78b7c48.jpg

For Brooklyn’s haircut I just did a shorter, lightly layered cut with some long, sweeping bangs. photo 114eresized_zpsacf11dcf.jpg

I had styled her hair all cute before this picture but she used her hands to flatten it all out. When I do it it’s so cute, though! Too bad she’ll probably never let me. photo 120eresized_zpsba697aa7.jpg photo 122eresized_zps2f2f04e5.jpg

She loves her haircut, too! She especially loves that it’s zero maintenance. A quick brush through after her hair has air dried a bit and she’s set to go! photo 123eresized_zps70fbac0f.jpg photo 125eresized_zps581e3c4a.jpg

At this point in the day I let the kids watch TV. Ember was a huge crankpot so the kids all agreed to watch Team Umizoomi first since that’s her favorite right now. photo 133eresized_zps1314bcb6.jpg photo 144eresized_zps758b792f.jpg
