This year I’ve let my kids dress themselves more than 90% of the time. Ember has been my only child who demands that she picks out her own clothes and I just haven’t cared to not let her. If she wants to be mismatched then that’s perfectly ok with me. As long as she looks nice for church and she lets me dress her up once in a while… we’re good 🙂
Most mornings I tell the younger two to go get dressed before we leave to take the older girls to school. I end up giggling pretty much every morning when they come back in the room to see me before we head to the car. They come up with the funniest outfits! I decided to take the time to go and grab my camera and document them more often. I’m even starting a new tag/category on my blog “Dressing Themselves” so I can easily click straight to the goofiness if I’m having a bad day 😉
The coloring of these two pictures is totally different because I switched the white balance before taking the second one. It’s not important but it bugs the crap out of me. I’ll probably edit the first one to be warmer before printing these out for the kids’ scrapbooks.
PS: My favorite part of these pictures is that both kids have something to hold. When Ember saw Payson with that umbrella she ran to find something interesting to hold up, too. And she was so excited about it!
PPS: She even had on two pairs of undies under her pants/skirt combo. The girl loves layers! lol
