Grocery Shopping

There is a store fifteen minutes from my house. It’s the only store in the area and it’s overpriced. I don’t shop there too often. Unless I’m in the mood to pay double for the same food I can get if I bother to drive an additional fifteen minutes away 😉
The other day we were pretty much straight up foodless and I didn’t feel like driving for half an hour. So I stopped by that very store to buy a few things. Just enough for a day’s worth of meals.

The kids were excited as we got ready to leave.

When we don’t have a time limit, or a specific time to be somewhere, putting on shoes is one of my favorite parts of the day. Ember gets so excited about picking out socks and shoes and brings them all over and sits down ready to put her beloved shoes on, it’s hard not to giggle or just feel plain old happy when she’s like that ♥ Photobucket

Payson was standing by the counter waiting for me to get my shoes on and he was standing with his feet out like this and I thought it was cute! Photobucket

Ember joined him, trying her best to copy his stance. PhotobucketPhotobucket

Ember fell asleep during the drive to the store. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

The kids were really into picking out produce. Photobucket

Payson carried our basket until it got too heavy. Then we carried it together for a while (each holding one handle) and then finally I had to tell him I needed to carry it myself. By then he was happy to just be the one to put stuff into the basket for me. PhotobucketPhotobucket

Ember carried an orange and a pepper through the entire store. “Ember’s pepper. Ember’s orange.” She’d occasionally remind me, and anyone else who cared to ask 🙂 Photobucket
