Hmm. So I tried like ten times to get photobucket to work last night (the old version) and it wouldn’t switch back but today it did. So, as long as photobucket keeps letting me use that version I’ll keep blogging.

I think it may sound dramatic that I’m so picky about only using the old site but the reason why is you can upload and copy all the images you want in one post at one time. The new photobucket site you have to copy and paste each picture one at a time. Maybe that doesn’t sound difficult to anyone either but to me it’s huge, I just don’t have even ten extra minutes on top of the time I take to blog!

I had about ten thousand additional paragraphs to this post but just deleted them. If you’re unlucky enough to be reading in a reader you might see them, I didn’t delete them for my benefit, but for you readers. haha! If you’re curious as to what they said, it was just a LOT of me talking about how I’m feeling stuck out in the middle of the desert. Pretty boring.

I’m leaving my house today. I haven’t decided why or where I’ll take the kids but I have decided that if I don’t I’ll end up crying on the floor again like I did this past Saturday.
I can’t wait to move. Have I mentioned that once before? One hundred times before? Oh. haha. Sorry.

Blogging Blahs

So the site I use to upload my pictures just changed everything. I already hated the way it worked (but liked it better than any other options) so this is pretty much the straw that breaks the camels back to me. I’m going to just stop blogging for a while. I’m sick of it taking so long to blog! It’s a shame because I was feeling like the motivation to blog daily had just come back. I’m not willing to mess around and spend anymore time on it, though. Not right now.

So goodbye for, who knows how long. Unless some other EASY to use photo uploading site pops up, photobucket goes back to the way it was, or blogger lets me upload full sized pictures… I’m not even attempting to blog anymore. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Ice Age 4

I get really sick of being inside my house really often these days. Today to escape my prison I took the kids to the $2 theater. Photobucket

The kids wanted to play arcade games after but I said no. Partly because I didn’t have any cash or quarters and mostly because of their terrible meltdown last time I let them play arcade games! Instead they just pretended to play for a few minutes. Photobucket

I have to say, my kids have been SO good this week. I’m shocked at how relatively easy they’ve been. With everyone home all the time my house gets trashed really quickly but they’re happy and playing nicely together, I won’t ask for more than that! PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

We spent a long time playing near the fountain at the mall after the movie. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

My kids spent most of the time running around chasing each other. They were so out of breath by the time I said we needed to go home. A great thing, to burn all that energy! Photobucket

All the kids got in the car and I went to buckle Ember into her carseat and she started crying and begging for milk before we left. I didn’t want to breastfeed her in the car but I figured it was worth it to avoid her crying during the 40 minute drive home! When she was done she started playing with the sun roof. PhotobucketThe scrape on her nose is from when she face planted off the stairs near the fountain 🙁

Allan and Sierra’s Camping Trip

Before I post those pictures I just wanted to say, I’m kinda proud of myself for blogging 7 days in a row! I made a personal goal to blog every day of 2013 and this week has really kick started that!

I don’t have a lot to say about Allan and Sierra’s campout because I wasn’t there! They left Sunday night and got home Christmas Eve day. Allan has told me a bit about it that I could type out but instead I’m just going to post the pictures and then when he has some time I’ll have him come back in here and add captions and tell the story of it. I will say they both said they had a blast! Photobucket

The Day After Christmas

Sale shopping! The kids spent the morning playing with their toys and after lunch we headed out to check out some after-Christmas sales. We spent about 3 hours out and stopped at three stores. It wouldn’t have taken as long if Brooklyn wasn’t so indecisive. She gets it from me, so I can’t complain! haha

We didn’t get too much stuff because the sales weren’t very good. Mostly we got wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows for next year. We got some stocking stuffers. We bought Sierra’s birthday presents (her birthday is in 10 days) and that’s it!
We were standing in line at WalMart to pay and I’d brought treats for the kids thinking they’d be getting impatient by then. Payson dropped his fruit snacks. Photobucket

The gingerbread cookies and fruit snacks really perked my kids up. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Payson was hollering about having to go to the bathroom at this point. The boys’ bathroom was closed for cleaning and the girls’ bathroom was way too crowded to attempt to bring my entire family into so I had Brooklyn take him in. I waited with the Sierra and Ember. Photobucket

Brooklyn does an excellent job in situations like this, it was so cute when they walked out of the bathroom together and his sleeves were pushed up so high so that he could wash his hands. I thought that was thoughtful of Brooklyn.

Before heading to one last store I breastfed Ember in the car. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

We looked briefly at Target. There weren’t any good sales. I only bought presents for Sierra’s birthday, none of which were on sale. Dang it. (We didn’t get the toys the little kids are holding in these pictures) Photobucket

I didn’t take a picture of it but the three older kids used their $10 of Christmas money from family to buy $5 Webkinz (and they each have $5 left) and Ember got a baby doll. Photobucket

She owns at least 4 other baby dolls but insisted on this baby. She plays with every single baby she owns and is the sweetest little mama to them so I like that she wanted it so much. She loves that the baby has a binky that stays in her mouth. Photobucket

The three older kids always climb on those giant balls. Photobucket

Ember was desperate for me to let her have a try. Photobucket
We got home and the kids played Webkinz and then we had dinner and Allan got home and we had our looong bedtime routine with the four kids and then Allan and I (and Ember) watched Breaking Dawn part 1. haha!

Christmas Day 2012

We had a great Christmas. Wow, such a good day! I wish it would’ve lasted longer! Photobucket

I knew Ember would be tearing into presents like crazy while we took turns with the other kids so I wrapped up many more presents for her than the others. But, a lot of hers were things I’d bought over the last couple months and kept to wrap just for this purpose, like this: PhotobucketNotice her excitement, though? lol, easily pleased, that one.

I found a bunch of zoobles at the dollar store. The kids were happy about those. Photobucket

Ember has these games from last Christmas, I bought her a couple more because she loves them so much.

I got this cop SUV with a cop action figure for 99 cents at Goodwill. Payson and Ember love it. Photobucket

Do any of you remember these writing things from when you were younger? I loved those as a kid so bought each of my kids one from the dollar store. We’ve all been writing each other notes since they opened them. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

My kids got a lot of puzzles. They LOVE puzzles. I mean, obsessed. They got really difficult ones and really easy ones too, they love them all. Photobucket

I got this Elmo book for 50 cents at Goodwill. I bought probably 20 books there. This one is Ember’s favorite because it’s Elmo and it plays a bunch of sounds and songs. Photobucket

My kids ate a whole lotta candy in the morning. Brooklyn and Sierra picked at their breakfast claiming they were full of candy.

Allan and I cleaned up just a bit here and there as the morning went along. PhotobucketPhotobucket

This girl loves clothes, socks included. She had the biggest grin when she opened these socks. She promptly took off the pair she was wearing to put them on. haha PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Allan and I agreed to not get each other gifts this year. And both of us, without telling the other, broke the rule and got each other gifts. haha! We opened ours after the kids had opened all of theirs. Photobucket

We had wrapped up a bunch of Christmas crafts I bought last year on clearance (and two I bought this year for $1) and the kids loved those. Ember and Payson especially had a good time putting together their crafts. And then Ember, like always, had just as much fun ripping it apart and sticking the pieces to other things. Like her face. PhotobucketPhotobucket

Payson is the opposite. He doesn’t want his ruined and is really protective of his crafts. PhotobucketPhotobucket

Sierra talked for months about wanting a pink Webkinz kitty. Actually since last Christmas, she’s been wanting another Webkinz. She was really particular about it being a pink kitty. She was thrilled on Christmas morning when she saw it. She didn’t need any other presents that day, she was so happy with her kitty. Photobucket

I LOVE this picture. It might be my favorite of the day. Photobucket

Ember was confused about our diaper dance session being interrupted by daddy with the camera. She likes having her diaper changed because I tickle her or dance with her after but she didn’t like that it meant an extra ten seconds before she was allowed to rejoin her toys in the family room! haha Photobucket

I didn’t take any more pictures until dinner. We were all still in pajamas, which I think marks an ideal Christmas day 😉 PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Just now blogging and looking at this next picture of our dinner I was thinking about how bummed I was that the rolls weren’t ready at that time. I’d left them in the oven (warmed and then turned off) to rise more quickly but they weren’t ready by dinnertime. Photobucket

So yeah sitting here blogging and remembering the rolls and how I’d left them to rise in the oven I had a moment of panic and just now got up and ran to the kitchen and opened the oven to find: PhotobucketI guess forgetting them in the oven overnight wasn’t good. haha!

After dinner I didn’t plan on taking any more pictures but really late at night when Sierra came out of her room crying because she knew Allan was going back to work and she’d miss him, I let her have a cookie and stay up a little later and decided to take a picture to remember that. Ember got a cookie, too. PhotobucketPhotobucket

Notice the giant tears? I was laughing and asked her, “Sierra does the cookie fix everything? Now everything is fine and you won’t miss daddy?” Which was cracking her up. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Santa Mama

Just finished doing the Santa thing. It’s past 2am and I’m about to go join my husband and baby in my bed but I figured I’d post a couple pictures quickly.

I baked gingerbread cookies today. We’re going to frost them tomorrow. Photobucket

Since I stayed up three hours after everyone else to be Santa I figured I’d snap a picture of myself and the tree/presents setup to remember. Allan went to bed earlier because he’s sick 🙁 Photobucket

Ho Ho Ho! Photobucket

Here are a couple pictures of it all ready to go. I am still feeling glad I was able to do all of Christmas for four kids for under $150. It took a lot of time and planning and shopping creatively to buy for four kids and still have it all feel special. Photobucket

I’m pretty sure that every single wrapped gift for the kids was bought at Goodwill or the dollar store! It was so difficult to find nice stuff at Goodwill. I don’t know how other people seem to find stuff easily. It took me so many shopping trips over several months to get good stuff! I’m going to hit up clearance sales this week in preparation for next Christmas in hopes of having an easier time! PhotobucketPhotobucket

I was surprised when both my girls asked Santa for Webkinz this year. For months before Christmas they talked about Webkinz and they wrote letters to Santa only asking for Webkinz, so… Webkinz it is!! I bought these ones online for $5 and $7! Awesome. Photobucket

Payson and Ember are sharing a Santa gift this year. I’d have bought them their own but they share all their toys anyway so… Photobucket

Santa ate the cookies! Ok, I just crumbled part of one up on the plate! Photobucket

Woah am I tired. I’ll end this post with some pictures I took of my kids this evening. They are a very excited bunch of munchkins. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketMerry Christmas, guys!

Christmas Eve

I’m looking forward to a laid back week. Today we’re going to bake cookies for Santa (and some for daddy!), wrap presents, have a nice ham dinner together, act out the Christmas story, and go see Christmas lights.

I hope you all have a really peaceful, happy Christmas. Photobucket

Putting the Christmas Tree Up

I didn’t take any pictures of the process, oops. I did snap some late at night after the three older kids had gone to bed. I always want to put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving but half the time we don’t even manage to get it put up until the week before Christmas! Ugh. PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

These are just two random snaps from my point and shoot camera, figured I’d toss them in here. PhotobucketPhotobucket
