I don’t even remember how long ago it was that I originally posted this recipe. I print it out all the time and then get the recipe paper dirty or lose it and then have to go through my blog archives (the ones on my computer, not published online!) to find it again and it’s not quick enough. Here on my blog, with a special label, I’ll be able to find it in like two seconds.
So that’s why this is being reposted right now. For my benefit. haha! You may enjoy as well, though!
These are classic chocolate chip cookies. Very easy, very yummy. They turn out absolutely perfectly chewy but not too gooey.
Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 cup butter, softened (not melted! softened!)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 t. vanilla
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 1/2 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350.
Beat butter with sugars.
Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Stir in dry ingredients (baking soda, salt, flour).
Try not to over beat during any step. You’re wanting to just combine all ingredients.
Drop by spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 minutes for perfect cookies. Bake for 10 if you’re a weirdo who likes crispy cookies 😉
After dropping spoonfuls of batter onto your pan, add a few chocolate chips to the top. They’ll look even more appealling after baking.
Take your cookies out of the oven when they still look really doughy. They’ll finish cooking on top of the oven.
