I only blew up three very small balloons. They were enough to excite the kids for the entire day. Boy were there fights over the balloons! (Like always, even when we have twenty balloons, they fight!)
Ember is still obsessed with makeup and jewelry so that’s what I got her for her 2nd birthday! It was weird to be buying makeup brushes and makeup for her. And as we sat down to open presents I got nervous about the choice, despite knowing her love of it all, but within seconds I knew I had chosen right… she was over the moon happy.
She was surprised to get her very own chapstick. She loves chapstick and I finally managed to remember to buy some burt’s bees since it’s more natural and she tends to consume some of it each time she uses it. Though she proved me wrong and put it on exactly right and put the lid nicely back on after! She’s so perfect.
I bought a Betty Crocker gluten-free cake so that Payson could join the family and not have his own seperate little dessert. I liked that a lot. Everyone liked the taste of it so we might have gluten-free cakes for the kids’ birthdays here on out!
