Star Wars

This weekend the three original Star Wars movies were on TV. We recorded them all and watched them marathon style Sunday. I know that’s not a very good Sunday activity but after the week I’d had and with Allan working that day, it didn’t feel very Sunday-ish anyway 🙁

I saw this Star Wars shirt at the store Saturday and since the kids had watched the first half of one of the movies that morning they were Star Wars hyped and thought it was the best thing ever when I bought it.

It was on the clearance rack and was a size 12months! I held it up to Ember and knew it’d be too big for her but figured I’d turn it into a dress instead.

Even turned into a dress and hemmed a LOT it was huge. The entire inside of the shirt is hemmed in almost two inches! For a size 12 months that is one GIANT shirt. lol

Sierra heard me telling Brooklyn that I’d have to save the dress because it was pretty much a size 3T or even 4T, Sierra asked if she could try it on.

It actually makes a cute tunic top on her. She was over the moon excited to be the only one in the house sporting Star Wars gear. My kids get obsessed over things so easily. lol

  • You made that t-shirt look so adorable. 🙂 I wish I could find some cute fabric…Emmy would love to have some upcycled shirts/tunics like that.
How big is Ember now? Colton outgrew 12 month things a while ago…Ember must be a peanut 🙂 Or else the shirt was just grossly mislabeled! lol

  • Ember wears a size 2T. That shirt is just really poorly sized… it says 12 months but it's as big as some of the 3T shirts we own!
Finding fabric is a pain. Most of the fabric at the craft store in the next town over is ugly 🙁
