Don’t You Sleep, Don’t You Dare Sleep

You all know how I have a tendency to ramble? Well, when I know before I start that there is a lot to say I just have to do it bullet point style to speed things up.

So here goes…

-Early in the week me and the kids have a cold. Fevers, coughing, nose yuckies, etc.

-In the middle of the week I get like the worst stomach bug thing ever and spend the next three days stuck in or nearby my bathroom.

-Friday night (last night) Allan and I, after such a crappy week, decide to stay up a little late (to midnight) watching episodes of The Walking Dead.

-1am, I hear a kid crying.

-It’s Payson and he tells me there is, “poop on this bed.”

-It’s vomit.

-Payson in the bath and I’m cleaning up his bedding.

-Ember wakes up wanting mommy.

-I pass her off to Allan so I can get back to work.

-Get everything clean and Payson settled into a freshly made bed.

-Minutes later it all starts again as there is more, “poop in this bed.” (2am)

-Repeat last 3 steps.

-Decide to put him to bed on my master bathroom floor (it’s open to our bedroom)

-I take Ember into her room to attempt to nurse her again and put her to bed.

-Allan sets up Payson’s mattress in our bathroom.

-Ember in bed with me, she’s nursing to sleep. (3:30am)

-Ember rolls over and vomits. A lot. (4am)

-Ember in bath, Payson sound asleep on bathroom floor during it all.

-Allan holds Ember in a towel while I clean her (our, we cosleep) twin bed and floor and all of the bedding.

-Because the bed is wet from the vomit and cleanup process Ember and I sleep on the futon. (5am)

-An hour after I finally fall asleep Payson is waking me up for some reason or another (he’s my early riser, he likes to get up at 5am, earlier if I let him!)

-Allan wakes up at 10am and says we should get the house ready for a showing.

-I’d told him three or four times that there was NO WAY we were doing a showing.

-He’s pretty set on it so I begrudgingly clean the entire house (with the family)

-We leave the house so the person can look at our house.

-On the drive home, Ember vomits all over herself and her carseat and it gets on Brooklyn.

-We get home and I give her a bath.

-Brooklyn gets a shower.

-I do laundry load number 6? 7?

-Ember is begging to breastfeed.

-Allan cleans the carseat!

-Breastfeed Ember, put her to bed for a nap.

The end.

Hopefully! ha

Earlier this week, the second day I was sick, the kids played a lot in our living room.

I rolled them up in blankets…

And then set them in their “forts” per their request.

They had all their favorite soft toys out there. Here are Payson’s.

Did I say Payson? I meant Spiderman.

A different day, eating.

The giant mess in the background is because we decided to unpack some boxes that we’d previously packed up while selling our house.

Fun= buying soda just because it has your name on it.

She ate one of her olives so used a cherry as her thumb.

PhotobucketDo you like our folding table and chairs? Quite fancy, I know.

Free balloons from the bank. Fun times.

Uh oh, toddler stole the pop.

This morning I took a picture of the two who kept me up all night. How can they have been up so much and be this happy? I feel like a zombie!
