Willow Springs Lake

Can I first just say I am really tired. If my post comes off as scattered or moody or weird I can honestly blame it on very severe sleep deprivation. And since I talk about that pretty much every single time I blog I won’t explain the details

So we went to Willow Springs this weekend.

First we fed the kids McDonald’s because they were starving, it was lunchtime.Photobucket

I don’t like Ember eating fast food but she LOVES it. Ugh. She kept grabbing two chicken nuggets at a time (Brooklyn’s) and taking one or two tiny bites and then putting them back and grabbing two new ones.

Brooklyn wanted to hold her a lot to help out. Ember didn’t scream about it so that was actually really nice!

I am so tired. Going places is nice to get away from the house but it’s just so much work these days. But it felt so awesome to step out of the car in like 70 degree weather! And the TREES. OMGosh lovely.

The two that look like Allan:

Allan was running back and forth helping the kids get set up fishing. The kids… well, they fish like kids šŸ˜‰

Ember walked into the water with her shoes on. And then sat in really wet mud as well.

I obviously only snapped these since I had my camera in hand and turned on already. I immediately changed her into a spare outfit I brought and set her down and she went straight into the water again. It’s too cold up in the mountains to be wet like that. It was like 60 degrees by then.

She would not stay out of the water so I wore her. Now, I let her play in the water for the first half hour or 45 minutes we were there (defense) but when it started to cool off a LOT and her feet felt like ice (the water was SO COLD) I drew the line.

I went with Ember and sat in the car for a long while. I nursed her and gave her a snack and let her play around. Once she was warmed up we walked down to the lake once more to just look at it.

When I was in the car with Ember Allan had fed the other kids at a picnic table. Oh and Payson had taken his fourth crap of the trip. Seriously.

Brooklyn goes and picks up this raw old fish piece! I’m a germaphobe (if you can call me that) because my kids are always sick.

And today the kids got me up at like 5am and Sierra is barfing and has diarrhea and all of us are cranky and tired. I think this might be the last adventure until we move. I’m tired of the work. lol! Totally kidding, we’ll do things like every week like always because I can’t resist!
