Lately she thinks my camera is the best thing ever. She LOVES having her picture taken! How funny is that? I’ve been trying REALLY hard to only take pictures for like a few minutes of the day and when I take pictures I mostly hold my camera up without even looking through the viewfinder so that I can be truly interacting with my kids while I take their picture… this isn’t important to be saying, so anyway, she likes having her picture taken!
She still only ever sleeps in her swing or with me in bed with her. I don’t know how she can sleep so soundly in her swing but wakes up out of that same deep slumber in a bed if I’m not there. Sometimes I manage to sneak away and like ten minutes later she wakes up and starts screaming hysterically since I’m not there.
She also loves her bouncy chair. If she’s not playing in it (she loves to turn on the music) she’s putting her toys in it. Or she turns it upside down and stands on the cushioned part and holds onto the wire base part and jumps up and down. I have pictures of that but I didn’t bother posting them because oh my gosh this post is so long.
We played in her room for like an hour. We played with her giant red ball (well it’s Payson’s) and all sorts of other things. At one point I was taking pictures of her and her bunny while she was totally engrossed and she randomly looked up and saw me and came and climbed in my lap. Then I showed her the pictures on the back of the screen. She loves that.
I set up the camera with the self timer to get a shot of us. She would not sit down with me because she wanted to keep pushing the button! Finally I managed to coax her over after she pushed the button…
And then she took a ton of me.
When the picture would take and she’d hear that click she would grin from ear to ear. She was so proud of herself! And she’d be doing her cheese face smile while she was pushing the button because she knew she was taking a picture. And after each shot she’d bend down and look at the back of the camera. It was seriously just the cutest thing!
In this next one she’s pointing to her ear. A million times a day we play the body parts game. Where’s your ear, your nose, your eyes, your hair, mama’s eyes, mama’s ear, mama’s hair, where’s your belly button… etc, etc.
It’s her favorite thing to do when she breastfeeds these days.
