Stealing Siblings Snacks

This morning we had our very first showing for our house. I spent the morning doing all the last minute nit picky clean up tasks, making everything perfect. This meant the kids’ breakfast sucked. I think they only ended up eating some rice chex and almonds and by the time we were at the store around 11am they were starving. We stocked up on some quick foods and went to check out and hurry home to eat!

And as we were unloading the cart I noticed Ember happily sucking away at Sierra’s yogurt.

I didn’t dare take it from her in the middle of the store like that so I just let her have it. I took it from her once we got to the car. She did scream. She was pissed. haha

So we got home and the next hour was spent with FOOD. Everyone was so hungry, the kids had yogurt while waiting for their food (some frozen meals! Rare that we have those!) and then they had a couple other things. Anyway, we all eventually finished except for Payson who was being weird and picky despite being hungry. He started to eat some sausage I made him and then had to go potty. While he was away Ember came upon his temporarily abandoned meal and helped herself.

I started laughing at the sight. I mean, walking in to her (full from her own lunch!) munching happily at Payson’s plate without a care in the world. It was just so funny!

We have a lot more sausage and I figured I’d just heat Payson up some more…

So he comes out of the bathroom to dry his hands, half naked of course, and catches sight of Ember at his plate eating all his food and burst into tears. Oh my heart broke for him. I told him it was ok and I’d heat him up more right away and he calmed down but for a second he was so sad.

Sierra was sitting next to me and did some silly faces.

Payson put on Brooklyn’s boots and said he was Brooklyn.

The kids have been playing games on paper a lot. I taught them MASH and a few other games like that and we’ve gone through a lot of pages. We’re pretty darn bored in this house. haha
