I have a teensy problem with curbs. Sometimes my front right tire collides with one. And sometimes my tire starts to go flat. And then I spend $360 for replacements so that we don’t crash and die from a blown out tire on the freeway.
It’s terrible that I’m in a hurry and carelessly wreck my car like that.
I try hard to not sideswipe curbs so that I don’t have to pay money for stupidity but it happens. And usually Allan takes the car in for new tires.
But this day when my tire was getting flat and there was a gash in the side I had to take it in while Brookyln was at school because I had a doctor appointment the next day and Allan was super busy at work and didn’t have time to do it for me.
I asked him how long he thought it’d take (to judge my emotional capabilities of sitting somewhere besides my house with three kids) and he said probably 45 minutes or less.
Changing a tire doesn’t take that long, right?
So it ended up taking…
to the minute…
2 1/2 hours.
Why????? Why does stuff like this happen to me?? They were changing a tire, not preforming brain surgery!
Ugh, it was pure torment trying to keep a 5, 3, and 1 year old occupied in a car dealership. I could go on and on about it but I won’t… you’ll get bored. lol
They had this small room with some puzzles and a couple of toys. The kids were happy in there for a good twenty minutes and I was feeling hopeful about no meltdowns or crying. Because surely we’d be out of there shortly.
Speaking of kisses… she gave me her very first kiss yesterday! It was the cutest thing ever! I have been telling her, “I’m going to give you kisses.” and then kissing her and yesterday I asked, “Are you gonna give mama kisses?” And she puckered her tiny lips and kissed me! And she did it four more times! So sweet 🙂
So the kids got sick of the children’s waiting room so we walked around the dealership looking at cars. Payson was in heaven. Especially when we stopped to look at a red car. He talked about how he wanted that red car and he’d drive it.
My camera went back into my bag for the rest of the trip because things started going downhill. The kids were all getting impatient. Mostly Ember. I walked her in laps around the place and pushed her in her stroller. Near the end she really wanted to nurse and go to sleep but I was in an open room with all men. Not going to happen! lol
