Loves, Spelling, Baby’s First Tea Party, Tumbling, Sewing

I’m sorry to say this is yet another huge catch all post from the last few days. I don’t mean to be annoying with my massive blog posts, it’s just what’s fitting my busy schedule right now. I could just do one photo a day every day if you prefer. Let me know.
Photobucket

There’s been lots of loving going on in our house. Payson’s been in a fantastic mood this week since getting his bottles back.
Photobucket

He’s always been lovey towards Ember but lately with her reacting to him so much he’s even more excited about being her big brother.
Photobucket

And she keeps growing and growing. Which I really wish didn’t have to happen.
Photobucket

She is such a happy girl. She loves everything about her life.
Photobucket

I love everything about her.
Photobucket

She’s gotten so chubby that she fits into Sierra and Payson’s old cloth diapers now. I’ve been cloth diapering her a lot this week and loving it!Photobucket

Can you believe I was very worried about this baby’s weight at one point? Oh how I wish I could’ve seen this picture back then! haha

Truly, the happiest little baby.Photobucket

My very happy, very social little baby.
Photobucket

Ember loves. Ember loves mommy, loves daddy, loves Brooklyn, loves Sierra, and loves Payson. She loves people, she watches their faces intensely, she listens to conversations, she breaks out into the brightest smile any time the speaking is directed at her. Photobucket

And she is loved back.
Photobucket

I had to make myself a more modest shirt in photoshop. haha
Photobucket

Ok, so Ember is a very happy baby. Except. When mommy puts her down and she doesn’t want to be put down. Then Ember is the most sad baby ever. So I wear her a lot. I’ve blogged about this already this week, I know. The other day I had to cook and didn’t want to wear her against my belly since I was worried about her feet getting burned or bumping something. And she just plain old is in the way. So I tried to put her on my back with my woven wrap but just couldn’t. So I put her in my tie on wrap instead.
Photobucket

And she got her morning nap while I cooked and cleaned and moved furniture around!
Photobucket

Photobucket

The furniture I moved was our kitchen table. I moved it into Sierra’s room for school. I used to sit on the floor near those tables on the left and my back was freaking killing me!
Photobucket

The girls gave me those great goofy faces (so them!) and then we got to work on spelling. Their favorite! Brooklyn is in level two (soon to be three) and Sierra is in level one.
Photobucket

This day she learned th, sh, and ch. Photobucket

Writing her spelling words.Photobucket

Payson went to bed after school time and I thought it would be fun to play beauty salon with the girls. I was in need of some extra girly fun that day. We went all out with makeup, hair, clothes, jewelry, nail polish and even perfume! The girls asked if we could have a tea party since they were all dressed up. The way they asked is pretty funny, I can’t remember which girl but one of them basically said that they just have to have a tea party since they were dressed up so nice. haha
Photobucket

I told the girls how fun this was since it was Ember’s very first tea party! They loved that. It makes me happy to see how much they try to include her in everything πŸ™‚
Photobucket

Ember was thrilled with her first tea party. She grabbed at everything and smiled and babbled and watched her sisters.
Photobucket

I was actually eating and drinking tea with the girls (yep, we had real tea, too!) and at one point Ember grabbed my little tea sandwich and was bringing it to her mouth as fast as she could to taste it. haha! I got it from her and let her suck on a slice of apple a little bit. I can’t believe she’ll be starting solid foods in a few weeks!
Photobucket

Photobucket

I wanted to take some pictures of the older girls so I moved Ember to sit by the rolled up blanket so she wouldn’t fall backwards. She looked funny among all the baby dolls.
Photobucket

Brooklyn is a wonderful big sister to Ember. I watch them all the time and can’t believe that I was Brooklyn’s age when my little sister, Jeena, was Ember’s age!
Photobucket

Photobucket

I love that Brooklyn’s dimple is showing in this picture.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Then it was time for Ember’s nap. She still only naps in my arms or the wrap or the swing. Her old swing (bought when Sierra was a baby and used for three kids) broke last week. I was so sad. I hate spending money. hahaAnyway we went and bought a new one. We were going to just get the cheapest we could find but this one plugs into the wall and that’ll save us a ton of money on batteries!

Wednesday night was Brooklyn’s last tumbling class so parents could come watch again. Brooklyn has improved a lot. She’s starting to take it seriously.

Photobucket

I was so very proud of her. She would look at me after every little thing she did to see what my reaction was and she was beaming when she saw me smiling or raising my eyebrows all impressed. Gosh I love this girl!!
Photobucket

She has such a good time in the class with her friend. They are definitely the silliest ones.

Photobucket

The teacher had them all stand here and pose at the end for a picture and Brooklyn’s face makes me completely melt.
Photobucket

Ember meanwhile was watching everything.Photobucket

The girls wanted to pose after class. Sierra is desperate to start tumbling, too. I’m kinda leaning towards ballet for her, though.
Photobucket

This was yesterday. Sierra looks so sweet napping doesn’t she? Well, she was sent to bed for kicking Payson. She hit him in the head the day before. Five has been a rough age for Sierra.Photobucket

The girls did some more sewing. I’m going to start having them sew a little bit every day. It’s such a peaceful hobby.
Photobucket

Brooklyn was making a flower and Sierra made Tinkerbell.
Photobucket
Today Allan took work off and took Brooklyn to the mountains to go snowboarding! Which makes today an extra packed Sierra school day! I have a ton planned for her and she’s soooo excited. We’ve already had a full, good day so far (we just finished lunch) but the afternoon (while Payson sleeps!) is going to be a blast! There will be brownies, clay, shaving cream letters and lots more! Yay!

  • i, for one, love your huge catch-up posts. the only thing is that i always end up with so much to say about all your pictures that i can't narrow it down when i get to the end. i don't want to post an obnoxious 'i love this shot!' and 'i love that shot' comment! haha
You look fantastic and it's very inspiring to me. i know i still have a long way to go with this pregnancy, but seeing how your dedication has paid off really motivates me to shed my baby weight after this littl'un gets here. we'll have to kick our weight loss blog back into gear. AGAIN! πŸ˜‰
the way payson is so affectionate toward 'emmo' just melts my heart…especially that pic where she's got her arm up on his shoulder. aykm?!
i'm amazed at how flexible brooklyn is!! she's wicked awesome at doing those yoga poses…wow! i was even proud of her as i looked through these pics…she was obviously beaming with pride.
i start working part-time in may, and whenever i see a blog post like this it makes me so excited. i can't wait to spend more time with my kids and make sweet memories like these πŸ™‚

  • I, too, love your photo-packed catch-up posts…but I am one who ends up leaving an annoyingly long comment afterward. =) I'll try to show some self restraint with this one. Hee!

The tea party looks like so much fun! Having 2 boys, I miss out on all those girly moments, but I can live vicariously a bit through your blog and Jordan's. Life looks so different (and so pink!) with little girls.

Looks like Brooklyn thoroughly enjoyed her tumbling class! She's radiating happiness in every picture…and looks so proud in the final shot. Great job Brooklyn!
