I haven’t been in the holiday spirit this month. I still feel like it’s September, honestly.
But it’s not. It’s December. We’re three days away from Christmas. Whether or not I like it, it’s happening! lol
We made a few things the other day. We have a few more we’re making over the next three days. It’s fun.
Sock snowmen are so cute and super easy. I saw the idea a couple places online and loved it.
The kids picked out bead and felt colors and glued it all together.
The snowmen (well, Brooklyn and Sierra have snowgirls actually and you better not slip and say otherwise!) were a huge hit.
All three kids LOVED their snowmen but Payson was especially cute about it. He says “snowman” in the cutest voice! At first I showed him his and told him, “Here’s yours, here’s Payson’s snowman.” And his eyes got huge and he grinned and took it and stared into it’s googly eyes and kissed it and said, “My Paysman.” It was adorable and funny. That’ll probably be one of my favorite memories from Christmas this year.
After making the snowmen I cut out felt stars for the girls to sew together and make a Santa.
Payson couldn’t very well wield a glue gun but he really enjoyed just watching it all. The crafts we’re doing over the next couple days are all things he’ll participate in. He’s going to love it!
One of my favorite things in the world is watching my daughters sew. Those tiny fingers and the look of concentration on their faces.
Brooklyn’s actually getting much better at sewing! She used to have such a hard time with it but this time she sewed up the star without a single problem and with no help from me besides me re-threading her needle a couple times.
We’d crafted for two hours. And literally the second we were done and I was cleaning up, Ember woke up from her nap. Perfect timing! Though she was in a pretty bad mood being super hungry and all.
