Sunday Picture Dump!

I have a bunch of random pictures I took yesterday.

The two little kids and I went on a nature walk (post below) while Allan was at church with Brooklyn.
I stayed home with Sierra and Payson since it was stake conference and getting the kids to sit still for 2 hours in that meeting sounded like nothing but torture to me!

While home we finished up the last two things in Sierra’s Kindergarten week-1 curriculum. (A couple of you asked for the book name, I’ll find the link when I have a couple more minutes and post it tomorrow!)

Sierra and Payson painted the rocks they picked up on our nature walk.

After church Allan folded the last load of laundry! (I folded three loads while he was gone! All the laundry was clean and put away for once! But there is already another load of laundry to do today!)

Allan gave the kids piggy-back rides.

They loved it when he tipped them onto the couch.

We pretended to have a family nap.

Around 5 we went outside for some water fun.

I came in with Payson so I could start dinner. Payson was whining nonstop so I turned on his favorite show (besides football), Spongebob.

Brooklyn’s been pretty awful this week. No specifics but it seems like just when I think it can’t get worse and she can’t act any less mature and any whinier and brattier, she does.

I think she needs a huge wakeup call. I’m so sick of the entitlement I see from her.

  • I *just* took pics of my kids on Rusty's back and him tipping them to the couch this morning! πŸ˜‰ We have great husbands!

I can't believe you are so close to having the baby!! I can't wait to see her! πŸ™‚

  • Hi Ariana,

I have been reading your blog, for, I'm pretty sure ever….

I have a very difficult child very much like Brooklyn (odd fact, his name was going to be Brooklyn had he been a girl :P)…anyhow, I can totally feel you, it is soo hard to even begin to describe the drain they are on our momma minds…My boy is now 9, and I can not say it is any better. Occasionally we get a day where we get a glimpse of the boy we know he can be, and it is so frustrating that we don't see it more often. (we also homeschool as well, so I spend 24/7 with him,not always a happy thing…not to mention I have 3 other children)

So yeah, pretty much, just saying I understand, and appreciate your honesty.

You are one of the only family blogs I read anymore, and I think its because of how “real” you are about everything!!

Keep your chin up!! Good luck with the new baby next week πŸ™‚
