Tonight while examining the inside of Sierra’s lip I noticed a big rip/hole near her gums that I hadn’t seen before. It didn’t look like it was infected yet or anything but I was worried about keeping it clean and if it needed some sutures (it’s kinda big, like the size of a pea) so I decided to take her to the doctor.
Being Saturday we had to go to the urgent care, of course.
Before heading to the urgent care I took a few pictures of Sierra just for her when she’s older. Don’t most kids get a kick out of their “battle wound” photos? lol
She had a lot of fun at the doctor’s office. We sang songs and told each other stories.
And she got to play with Payson’s Finding Nemo toy. Best dollar I’ve ever spent!
The nurse cleaned Sierra’s mouth very well and very gently. The doctor showed me how to keep it clean and told me that she didn’t need stitches or that medical glue stuff because of where it is in her mouth. It’s actually in a really “good” spot for healing. It’s tucked away and food doesn’t get there easily.
So Miss Sierra is well on her way to a healthy mouth 🙂
