Finally Got a New Wrap!

I really love babywearing. I could talk all day about how much I love babywearing.
You all remember the moby wrap I used when Payson was a baby?

I was very sad when he outgrew it. I couldn’t really afford a $100 woven wrap right then so I bought this Amy Coe sling to use in the meantime.

It is really awesome for short trips to the store.
Allan and I want to do more traveling and hiking and carrying a 22 pound toddler in your arms gets tiring.
And so we finally got a woven wrap! The brand is Didymos, if you’re interested.

It’s crazy difficult to learn to tie on, but I’m getting better at each try. Payson is not a very good child to practice on as he wiggles and squirms and dives off my back, so I recruited Sierra and boy did she love it.
I’m hoping to try a few more times with Sierra later today.

Crockpot Apricot Pork with Gravy

I just had to take time to post this because this turned out SO DANG YUMMY and it was so freaking easy!

Crockpot Apricot Pork
3 lb pork roast (or 3 lbs of any type of pork, really)
1/2- 1 jar apricot preserves (I used 3/4 a jar)
1-2 cups chicken broth (I used 2 cups)

Put the pork in the crockpot.
Mix the apricot preserves and chicken broth together (I used my blender but you can do it any way you want).
Pour apricot, broth mixture over pork.
Cover and cook on low until done (mine cooked for 8 hours but was done at 6).

Gravy
1 cup leftover juice/drippings from pork
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 T cornstarch

Put the juice/drippings, milk, and cornstarch in a small saucepan.
Stirring constantly (I use a whisk), bring to a boil.
Turn heat to medium low and simmer for a couple minutes, stirring occasionally.

You MUST make homemade mashed potatoes to go with this meal. MUST.

So yeah, I broke my blog break. lol
I might post once in a while… I might do a picture a day or something. I’m just super busy and we have a LOT planned this fall/winter so no promises!
