The best cure for diaper rash

is to spend some time without a diaper.
Reading works.

Standing works.

But running is best.

We went to JoAnn’s today to get some stuff to make reusable sandwich and snack bags.

I ended up buying nothing, but I did take some pictures.

We also went to Costco. I packed everything I needed for an afternoon of errands.

And I left it all on the counter. At home. 40 minutes away. Grrr.

Payson was freaking out hungry after only 2 hours (and he’d eaten oatmeal and a full bottle) so I bought a chicken salad but the salad was gross so I threw most of it out. I bought a couple suckers at Sprouts in hopes that the girls would stay mellow while finishing up our shopping trip and I held Payson through the entire store. My arms are freaking tired. I’m sick of holding kids all the time!
I wish he fit in the moby wrap, but he doesn’t. I wish I could afford a more sturdy wrap, but I can’t.

And it used to be cute that every.single.person in every.single.store commented on Payson’s hair but now it’s just plain annoying. I want to shop, I don’t want to sit and chat about who cut it, how cute it is, how cute he is, what does his dad think, was it dad’s idea, what do I think, and blah, blah, blah. Just let me shop and take him home before my arm falls off my body from holding the 20 lbs of weight that is under that mohawk!

Ok, ok, it’s still fun when they fawn over him.

While on the subject, I have to admit I’m sick of the mohawk. I’m excited that it’s starting to grow back. I like the fauxhawk much better.

And to Tammy,
We kicked all cleaning chemicals out of our house a few years ago. I even make my own laundry detergent. Let me know if you get that interested and I’ll pass along my “recipe”. πŸ™‚ Yes, it works!

Yes! I’d love the recipe! I usually google and google for things like that, but I’m googled out this week. lol. I’m been buying this ultra basic, natural detergent from Sprouts but it’s expensive.
I’d also like the link to your blog, again! I lost it πŸ™

  • He's really into that magazine, isn't he? Love it!
And I love the naked bum shots…I can't seem to a get a good one of Hudson without getting a peek of his…ahem…boy stuff. ;c)
Sierra's hair is so beautiful all curled like that. She looks so sweet!
Hope you had a good shopping trip! I ended up taking the girls with me to buy some new summer clothes today. SO EXPENSIVE! Omg!

  • Hi Ariana. πŸ™‚
My name is Nina Margret and I'm from Iceland. I have been reading your blog for quite some time and I really love how you look after your kids, you are a great mum.:) I have 5 kids of my own and they are 25,22,15,nearly 14 and 11. I miss the time when they were little and all the fun things we did together. The time with teenagers can be quite difficult here in Iceland (with drugs and alcohol everywere) and everything is so exspensive! But the teen years are great fun also πŸ™‚ and before you know, their all grown up! You take great photos and I love the way little kids back are so straight like Paysons beautiful little back. πŸ™‚
Take care and hopefully you are all well.
    Best regards, NΓna Margret πŸ™‚

  • I love that 1st shot. So cute and he's so serious! His bum is too cute. Since Eli won't walk I don't have the chance to get any cute shots like that. Plus we have way too much dog and cat hair in our house. No matter how much time I spend cleaning and that's just not fun to clean off those places. πŸ™‚
Thanks again for always leaving me nice comments. Much appreciated.

  • Little bum shots are some of the best ones to look back on later, don't you think? He is so cute! He looks like he is getting so tall.

  • Older people are always saying how they miss the baby years once the kids get older. To that I say “really???”. I can't wait to get out of this needy baby crap!LOL. I feel your pain, I have four kids and they are homeschooled so they never leave!

  • OMG the little bum shots are so cute! Look at him! And Sierra's hair is adorable all curled up like that!

Oh and the frustration of packing for an entire day and forgetting everything! I've done that… And to be without a bottle (when the baby was younger) was torture! I had to run to the nearest walmart and buy one. Luckily though… I don't go too far from home usually. Walmart is about 10 minutes away, Costco is like 2 minutes away (within walking distance…. but I know the frustration.

  • You make your own laundry detergent? What the heck? You are so crafty. No wonder you are so busy, you do it all!

I still think Payson's mohawk is adorable. But yeah, a fauxhawk you can style different ways, so that will be fun too.

Love Sierra's hair in these pictures…way cute!

Payson is such a chunker!! OMG, I love it!
