Stealing pictures is never ok

Since when do I go by Elizabeth? (Click here for her account)
This lady on flickr had a couple pictures of my girls on her account. I emailed her before I emailed yahoo copyright & IP and she emailed back saying, “I’m so sorry, I just love your pictures. I deleted them”.

THANK YOU to the friend that emailed me and pointed this out. I don’t know if you want your name public or not, so I’ll just leave it anonymous for now. But thanks!

It’s people like this “Elizabeth Miller” that make me not want to blog.

There are so many good people out there and friendships I’ve made through blogging that keep me here, but this really throws a wrench in things.
I’m not going to do what I normally do- freak out and delete things and make private… for now. lol

Let’s just hope yahoo takes care of it!

Random shots from when we were out.
Looking at the fish at WalMart.

Payson has been so cranky this week. He’s teething again (yes, his 7th and 8th are just starting to pop through!) and he wants me to hear about it!
This storyboard in particular is to show what a drama boy he is. One second he’s crying as if someone is gnawing off his leg. The next second he’s totally fine.

What calmed him down is me talking to him in a mellow, calm voice. He likes it when he thinks everything is mellow. He hates loud noise and chaos (which public bathrooms often are).
And sidenote- this was the first time I’ve ever put him in the grocery part of the cart. The only reason I did was because I was standing RIGHT there waiting for the girls to wash their hands, I was holding his shirt or looking right at him so that he was safe. DON’T let your small child ride in the grocery part, they WILL fall out (personal experience speaking from when Brooklyn was 2!)
Sorry, I HAD to add that because I don’t want people thinking I let him ride in there or that I condone letting your little child ride in there. It really is dangerous. Learn from my past mistake, please.

The girls were being so sweet during this ride. Interested in the other’s expression and happiness 🙂

Easter part 2

The second half of Easter was spent at Allan’s parents house. We had a really good time. We did a better egg hunt in their backyard that the girls LOVED.

Since I was taking pictures Allan held Payson the whole time (my favorite part of Easter, I have to say. lol)

Sierra didn’t participate much last year. She found eggs but she was slow and kinda confused about the whole thing. This year she was darting around everywhere. Smiling and giggling. It was adorable.

Allan’s dad video taped a lot of it which I was grateful for. It’s always fun to go to their house and look at their pictures and videos because it’s like seeing the event for the first time for me, through someone else’s eyes. Fun.

Gotta count the eggs at the end, of course.

He was smiling at grandma 🙂

And that’s every last picture from Easter! Whew!

I saw this on Chris’s blog and liked it.
You should do it, too, and link the post to me in my comments so I can see! 🙂

How old will you turn in 2009?
Just turned 26

Would you date someone 8 years older than you?
Short answer? No. Long answer. Yes. lol
Allan’s five years older than me and right now I love it. If he were another 3 years older, cool. BUT when I was 18… that five year gap was really annoying! lol

What were you doing at 4am?

What were your first thoughts this morning?
I have to do this all again???

Are you a jealous person?
I’m a jealous wife, but not jealous of anyone or anything else.

Is there anything that has messed up your life?
Quite a few things. My entire life has been working around things that have went wrong. Isn’t that how it is for most people, though?

Do you have a best friend?
Two or three.

Where was your default picture taken?
My profile picture was taken in my townhouse in Spring, TX.

What is bothering you right now?
Needing a break. Not getting a break.

Is there any meaning behind your profile song?
If I ever have a song online (myspace, etc) it doesn’t have meaning ever.

Do you believe what goes around comes around?
No. I don’t believe in karma at all. I believe that it’ll “come around” once we die, but on Earth? No way- I see bad people with easy lives and good people who suffer. That’s just the way life is.

Do you trust people easily?
No and it’s something I’m working on.

One thing you’re looking forward to?
Payson growing up. Loving every moment of him becoming a little toddler.

What was the last thing you drank?

Are most of the best friends in your life new or old?
My closest friends I’ve known for a while.

Do you like pulp orange juice?
Yes. I like it either way. The only orange juice I dislike is sunny delight tangy.

Which could you tolerate more, a sleep walker or someone who snores?
Snores. I’m a very sound sleeper.

Would you ever parachute off of a plane?

Is your birthday on a holiday?

Do you want to hit something?
I’m not a really violent person. I don’t think I’ve ever REALLY wanted to hit something. Mostly if I’m super upset I want to scream but end up crying.

Is your ex still in your life as a friend?
He could be, but no, I don’t think that’s appropriate.

Would you ever get a tattoo?

What’s your mood?
Impatient. I’m getting weary of the same old same old and trying to come up with something to snap me out of it. I get like this sometimes, sick of cooking, cleaning, wiping, eeeeetc. Normally I come up with some weird, fun idea (birthday party for stuffed animals, anyone?) to get me out of the rut. That’s what I’m working on mentally right now.

Who’s the last person you hugged?
This morning I hugged Allan, Sierra, and Brooklyn- in that order.

Day been rough?
Yesterday was, today I’m hopeful that I’m going to make it rock.

Is there someone you want to be with right now?
Allan!!! I miss him like CRAZY. He gets home late, I cook, we eat, it’s almost bedtime, it’s never enough!

Plans for your next birthday?
I never plan for my birthday.. this most recent birthday was the funnest one I’ve had in a looooooooong time and the planning was done by my mom and Allan (I suppose I could blog about it sometime).

Tell me about the shirt you’re wearing?
I’m wearing a plain pink t-shirt with a bright green zip up hoodie. Nothing worth mentioning.

Do you remember who you liked in 7th grade?
I liked a boy name Taylor the first part of the year and a boy named Scott the second part.

What are you up to this weekend?

Don’t know yet.

How do you vent your anger?
Shove it all inside and plunge on through the stress. Occasionally I cry. I also tend to blast music on my ipod while cleaning. That helps me the most.

Can you crack your knuckles?

What color is your mouse pad?
Striped. Pink mostly.

What time did you wake up this morning?

Have you ever left class to do anything naughty in the bathroom?

How many different people of the opposite sex have you REALLY cried over?
I don’t know why but this question cracks me up! The only person I’ve ever cried over would be Allan.

Would your parents be mad if you were in a relationship?
I don’t think they ever cared. Well, my dad sure did, but I didn’t live with him so he couldn’t very well tell me to stop dating.

What was the last thing you did before you went to bed last night?
Talked and cuddled with Allan.

Do you feel comfortable with answering personal questions?
Yeah, as long as it’s not about bedroom “stuff”.

Do you think age matters in relationships?

What will you do after this?
Give Payson a bottle, get the kids ready, go to Barnes and Noble, have a picnic in the park, come home and do craft stuff, blog about it. lol

Are you open about your feelings or closed off?
Naturally, I’m closed off. I’m working on it a lot and doing much better 🙂

What are you listening to?
The much too loud TV tuned to Noggin. It’s been on for ten minutes and I’m about to go turn it off! Annoying! Don’t fret about my poor children, we’re going to do funner things than watching the boob tube 😉

Are you gonna be home alone tonight?

Is it okay if you kiss people when you’re single?
Of course.

Would you go in public looking like you do right now?
Yes, I got ready before the kids woke up.

What’s something that can always make you feel better?
Music. Cuddling. Taking pictures.

Do you think your best friend and you will be friends in 10 years?
Yes, totally.

Have you had any beer this week?
I don’t drink.

Did you laugh a lot at something today?
Yes! THIS really cracked me up. I WANT one!

Tired day

Do you ever have a week that takes so much out of you that you don’t even want to speak?
I’m guessing yes.
So hopefully you’ll understand the lack of anything worthwhile on my blog today 🙂

What We Eat Wednesday

I suck at titles so I went with alliteration. lol
I’m not sure if I’ll keep doing posts about our meals. If you all like it I will, I just think it will get boring fast.
Of course most of my life is pretty boring. And yet, not. Chaotic boring. Yeah, that’s the perfect description of my life.

What was I talking about?
Oh yeah, food.

Let’s start with breakfast. Since that’s….what we start with..

On to Lunch!

Recipes I used this week:
Chicken Pot Pie
Waffles (Allan didn’t like these as much as other ones I’ve made)
Squash Stuffed Chicken Breasts
Taco Meat (I didn’t add chiles or onion)
Sloppy Joes (I didn’t add green peppers and instead of ketchup I used tomato paste)

Anything else I made was just my own made up recipes. Most of the time with chicken I bake it in one of those oven bags with seasoning and lots of vegetables. The kids like it best that way.

No really, I totally meant to do that.

Um…I guess there is a big difference between the 1/4″ attachment and the 1/8″ attachment!

This is Payson’s 5th haircut since he was born. Normally I do a good job. I think. lol. But today I thought I’d start with the 1/8″ attachment at the bottom instead of the 1/4″ I usually use. that’s a big difference.

After the first chunk fell to the floor and I realized there was a gaping hole in his hair I shrugged and went for the mohawk. What else could I do?!

Now I’m just fidgety waiting for Allan to get home. I wonder what he’s going to think.

I wonder what you think. Do tell!

Easter part 1

The girls with their baskets, first thing in the morning.

We did a “mini” egg hunt. The “real” thing was later on at grandma and grandpa’s house.

Allan did all the video taping. I LOVE when he picks up a camera to document things. Takes the pressure off me 🙂

Payson was a whiny bum Easter morning so he was in his high chair with cheerios for most of the “festivities”.
He did have a good time playing with the girls’ bunny ears later in the day.

He loved wearing them. He was cracking up every time they slid over his eyes.

Decorating Eggs

I don’t particularly like dyeing Easter eggs. Weird, no?
You all know me, I love doing crafts with my kids, I love baking with my kids, I’m not afraid of messes. But dyeing eggs? Just not fun for me.
Either way, how could I not let the girls decorate eggs? So I grit my teeth and let them have fun.
They ended up being much more interested in coloring the eggs with crayon.
(and yes, all the eggs in this post were raw! ugh)

There was a lot of dyeing happening, too.

My absolute favorite part was how they stopped every few minutes to show the other one their progress. “Look, Brookwyn, mine egg has a face”

“See-air-RA. I was drawing a face on my egg!”

Sierra’s happy expression is because she just figured out that her egg cracks!

“Sierra, is there a baby bird in there?!”

“Oooh. That is yolk, Seesee. See the yolk? That yellow?”

It’s loads of fun to make scrambled eggs now. My day starts off nice and colorful cooking with these babies..
