After my picky eater post I got a lot of comments and emails asking what exactly my kids eat.
When I shop for food I have the food pyramid in mind. I base all my meals and snacks for the kids on these basic guidlines: Food Guide.
The link above is AWESOME because it has a chart you can print out where you can write your week’s menu and also check off foods as your child eats them (Dairy, Meat, Vegetable, Fruit, Grain).
I have a chart printed out every week and I do actually fill in it every single day.
So, instead of just rambling on and on with my views on food and stuff I thought once a week I could post our meals from that week. Or maybe once a month I’ll post a few meals from that month?
Last week we actually ate like crap a lot of the time because my mom was visiting. What is it about having a visitor that makes it seem like eating out is necessary? lol
Here are some pictures of times we did eat at home, though. Sorry it’s nothing exciting. Next week’s post will be better!
